Rev. Timm High, Transitional Pastor

We have been blessed to have Rev. Timm High as our Transitional Pastor.

Timm came to Chapel Lane June 1, 2019. He came to us with a wealth of experience having served as interim pastor, pastor, and executive presbyter throughout the U.S.  He has served as the Interim Pastor for First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, Erie PA; Interim Pastor for Robinson Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC; Interim Associate Presbyter for Pastoral Care and Vocation, Charlotte, NC; General Presbyter, Presbytery of Charlotte, NC; Interim Pastor for First Presbyterian Church, Sidney, OH; Pastor for First Presbyterian Church, Marcellus, NY; and Pastor for Community Presbyterian Church, Flint, MI.  Prior to serving Chapel Lane, he served as the Presbytery Leader for Mission & Vision for the Presbytery of Riverside, CA.

As the transitional pastor, the Session has sought, with the Spirit’s guidance, to discern God’s desire for the future of Chapel Lane Presbyterian Church. Out of this experience of listening to God and seeking God’s time, the Session has recommended the blending of Chapel Lane Presbyterian Church and the Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Pastor Timm submitted his resignation as Transitional Pastor to the Session as of April 15, 2021 and the Session accepted and concurred with the decision at their meeting on March 10th.

"My last Sunday of worship leadership will be April 11th, the Second Sunday of Easter.

For a pastor, in God’s time there are the times of being called to and called away from. I give thanks to God for the privilege of being called to serve God with you in Chapel Lane, embodying love of God and neighbor. If you have questions, I welcome hearing from you."

His letter to the members of Chapel Lane and friends can be read below.

Timm and his wife, Kim, plan to remain in Midland. Timm can be reached by email at timm.high27@gmail.com.
